Greens

I had an appointment in Garstang this morning & I was early so I had a little walk along the river while I was waiting.
Surprisingly I met no one ... Booths car park was the busiest I have seen it on the two occasions I have ventured into town before.
Queueing in orderly fashion 2metres apart, one in one out! When I say busy it was still pretty quiet in comparison to the big five supermarkets.

It was so nice to walk on new ground!

Three good things:
1. I saw a large dog being pushed in a proper pram by a man walking briskly!
2. I have made my usual biscuits this afternoon.....SR flour instead of plain & syrup out of a plastic bottle. They are not the same but eatable. The flavour isn’t there but great dunked in a mug of tea!
3. Last but not least our youngest child Anthony in NZ is 45 today! We spoke to him this morning! He had a lovely day.
Boo

Looks a lovely peaceful walk. Ginger snaps, Anzac cookies, just wondering what your usual biscuits are? I'm going to try peanut butter cookies tomorrow.

@busylady Well you would call them a sort of Anzac biscuits if I was in NZ I think but I would just call them oat biscuits Judith. I always use the same recipe & it jus5 fill the tin up for any visitors we have....I would be surprised if you & Peter didn’t have one when you were here...I usually ply folk with them when they visit!
Peanut cookies sound tasty! Hope you have flour!!

That greensward looks so restful...and far from the madding crowd. Good that you were able to speak to your son. I spoke to an old school friend today whose husband died recently. Her daughters live nearby who provide solace, yet difficult in the face of distancing etc. It helped me realise how fortunate many of us are to not be isolated in the current circumstances.

Thank you for your birthday wishes. A belated happy birthday to your son. Beautiful shot and place to walk. Some shops, apart from groceries and pharmacies, will be opening here as from Monday; I hope everybody will obey rules.
