Stuck for a photo so I am showing you Harry’s raised bed with some of the early potatoes & cabbage coming up.
We have been lucky as our neighbour has been again & mowed our field.
We have a tractor but sold our mower last year before our house sale fell through.
Tony has a fancy new ride on mower so he loved mowing it this afternoon.
Three good things:
1. A visited our wonderful walk in centre in Blackpool this morning. Such an asset as anyone can visit 365 days of the year for any doctors appointment. I was in & out in half an hour all fixed up with antibiotics.
2. The horrid wind has died down tonight to more of a breeze.
3. So many interesting bookshelves behind the presenters on TV during this Coronavirus pandemic. My favourite so far is Monty Don the gardener from Gardeners World. A very large bookcase all along one wall weighed down with books just bursting at the seams.
Garden looks really good.. you will be looking forward to those tatties.. have laughed about some background in the lockdown interviews.. one clip on fb was a lady on a zoom meeting next thing her hubby comes down stair just in his undies.. she frantically waves him away.. he panics and trips over legs and arm everywhere..
Oh, that looks good. Nothing better than an early potato! We (or at least hubby) aspire to having a raised bed or two in our garden. Not this year, but hopefully next year. In the meantime we have things growing in various pots and bits of border, and of course in our greenhouse. Our kale and pak choi are doing the best, so far!
Looks fantastic! I was just saying to hubby last night that in our next house, I want a raised herb garden.
Hope you're feeling well again soon and glad your walk in centre was so efficient and helpful.
PS the Greek letters I had to copy and paste as my keyboard won't do them!
That bed looks so neat - its good to look at it.
I love checking out bookshelves in peoples houses.
