Stuck for a photo tonight so reaching back to a few weeks ago.
This work bench was in the place where they renovate furniture for resale.
I liked all the different interesting stuff on there.
Three good things:
1. I have had a massive sort out of clothes. Two big black bags full. Because we lived on a farm I was always used to coming back from being out & changing into what we called our work clothes.
I do not need work clothes now so I decide I’m going to use the clothes I have & not keep for best.
2. Our neighbour is back tonight so no more animal duties for Harry for now.
3. I found a box of 5 Cadbury’s Creme Eggs in a box in a drawer.
I have enjoyed watching ‘The Repair Shop’ on tv and this work bench reminds me of it. I have ‘home clothes’ for doing chores and lawns etc. A great find in that drawer.
What a work-bench full of interesting things - just my cup of tea . and reminds me so much of my dad's workbench at home where I spent so many happy hours beside my dad as he carved and carried out his woodwork/ carpentry work . Such happy memories !
A throw back from out era Pat - changing from our best clothes when we came home ! I still wouldn't do the gardening in decent clothes ! - but then I can be a mucky kid when in the garden !
@beryl Well I have kept an old pair of jeans for gardening & suchlike, I doubt I will be doing much painting after house is finished but I have done loads of painting too in my time...I aim to be a lady of leisure Beryl!
@dide Funnily enough we have just switched over to watch the repair shop now...only films on other channels, it's a great programme isn’t it...it goes all the way to NZ, I’m glad. The Christmas edition last time topped all of the ratings for the whole of Christmas. Hope you manage to see that edition.
@susiemc It was surprisingly hard to do...I have kept a couple of old pairs of jeans but stuff that’s half ok I find hard to throw out...I have lots of nice clothes as I have a rather expensive clothes habit but must learn to buy one... throw one!
An interesting work bench with raised sides to keep all the stuff from falling off! I haven't got any work clothes any longer - I just get my knees dirty when photographing a ground flower!
Great selection of items to look at there. I hope the Charity shops have reopened so you can drop your bags of clothes. Our local one is reopening on Tuesday. :-)
Creme Eggs? Oh my! My greatest weakness in the run up to Easter!! Love this shoe on the stand. I find cobblers fascinating people to watch, particularly the traditional ones.
@jgpittenger No im not looking forward to it either because we will have to take just the very basics & store the rest until we’ve finished renovating. 😨
@maggiemae Knees wash maggie so I’m going to follow your thinking too.....I might do more gardening in the new place but I doubt it...Harry loves his lawn & trees...we will have a few shrubs & our stone troughs round the house...that will be it!

I have trouble throwing out clothes too. I did have a good clear out when we retired but haven't had one since,
