A funny title but Ruth & I are mothers in law to each other’s children.
Our mutual grandson Jack took this photo of us sitting in Ruth’s garden on her birthday today.
I picked up a couple of prawn salads at M&S & I had a piece of birthday cake...plus a G&T as you will have noticed!
Ruth & I go back a long way to when our children were at Whitechapel school. Both boys were around six years old & both families have known each other’s for just over fifty years.
My daughter Cathy & Ruths son Garth got married twenty eight years ago much to our delight.
It’s good to see Ruth looking well & happy because as she said today, she ‘died’ for twenty minutes last November.
Her villager friends saved her life by giving her CPR & the prompt attention of the medical services.
She is a Wonder Woman & continues to play tennis, walk, garden & enjoy her life.
Harry & I love meeting up with Ruth & Michael & all the family.
Three good things:
1. Friendships.
2. Family.
3. Lunch out in the sunshine.
@maggiemae Ruth has always loved her tennis & it’s a nice friendly group she belongs to. I love watching tennis & have missed Wimbledon so much this year but that’s as far as my participation goes!
@julzmaioro She does look well doesn't she...loving where she lives with all her village neighbours...I came back thinking should we go back & live in the village like we used to but we love it where we are now anyway.
@beryl A lovely morning Beryl & great have I got Jack there to share it. He’s doing a bit of studying at Ruth’s while they are doing building work at home. Cathy & Garth live mile & a half away.
So good to share so much of life with special friends!
Sorry to lump you all together but running out of time to reply to each....Ruth & I appreciate all your lovely comments!
Special times & we share lots of memories!
Thank you.
