For the first time for months I went to the cinema today.
Not one of the large chain cinemas bit our local garden centre one. Dot & I went to see Alison Steadman in 23 Walks. A story about two dog walkers meeting up & becoming partners eventually! It was good...gentle watching!
You can just see Dot on the back row!
I got a text this morning asking me to upload the Coronavirus app, very timely as I used it at the Flower Bowl today. So many safety precautions...it felt safe & there were only four of us inside.
Three good things:
1. Very plush sofas to sit on....a G&T in hand...
2. Lots of talk so we had a great catch up.
3. An extra blanket on the bed tonight!
So luxurious - I wouldn't mind visiting such a cinema ! So good for you and Dot to have time and place for a good old catch-up . Getting so much colder - heating on , yes you will need an extra blanket tonight I should think !
Love the colours and nice to get to the cinema. Haven't been since January!!!!! Some precautions make sense, but others are ridiculous!!! A friend going to Glasgow can have her family visit her at the hotel she is staying in but they can't go to family house....I don't get it!!🙄
I can't see Dot at all, a bit dark for me! Film sounds good though. Peter downloaded the app on Saturday and was asked to report any symptoms. He said he had a change in his sense of smell, although to be honest he's had this since he came out of hospital after the operation, 7 weeks ago. Because of this he was offered a corona virus test on the same day - at our local town! When asked if there was anyone else at the same address who would also need a test he said yes. We both went down at 2.30 pm and got the results the following day at 10.15pm! Thankfully both negative. We had to administer our own tests - not pleasant as it makes you gag. Don't even know if we did it right!
Good to have time for a catch up!
I just watched our Prime Minister on TV announcing more corona restrictions, not only for the larger cities, but for all parts of the country.
@sarah19 No nir me Sallie...I have done everything they say up,till now but you do begin to think do they know what they are talking about...I get that it’s a compromise trying to keep the economy going though.
@busylady I did Harry’s....it was hard to get to the tonsils, Harry’s tongue was in the way!...the nose part made his eyes water & he had a runny nose & sneezing all day but was ok the next day.
How lovely you are able to go to the cinema again. Our cinema opened again on Friday and a friend and I were going to see The Secret Garden today but with David poorly we will put it off till next week.
@onewing I want to see The Secret Garden too Babs but it’s not advertised here yet! I was a bit nervous going to the cinema again but honestly it was empty....not sure about going to somewhere like Vue but the small private one was fine. Hope you & David get out again soon...might be just the thing for the first trip?
Yes my G&T sitting there waiting!
I can't upload the app - my phone is too old!
One less blanket on our bed now..

I know where ours is but what a Herculean effort to get it back into the cover!!!
I see Dot, is that your G and T next to her?
Yes my G&T sitting there waiting!
