We saw all these tractors lined up yesterday morning but thought it might be some sort of farming demo.
Turned out it was a farming tribute to a local farmer who died, very young in his forties...the tractors lined up as his hearse drove past.
Three good things:
1. After just over an hour on the telephone to our bank I managed to change our address! In the old days if we wanted to get in touch for any reason to do with our bank account we just used to ring the Agricultural section & ask for Kevin...straight through!
It was a farce today...I couldn’t even do it by email, had to talk to someone in India!
2. We have had the company of little Connie today!
3. Homemade rice pudding tonight!
Technology is not always the best answer! Ooh I can smell the rice pudding already. Was it cooked in the traditional way, in the oven? I make mine in the slow cooker now.
What a great tribute in which only a farming community could do ! You seem to have had another busy day ,but the rice pudding should be so soothing and comforting !!
How sad to lose someone so young. Nice tribute by fellow farmers. Whoever thought it was a good idea to get rid of the Kevins of the world needed their head read!!!!
Your latest cooker is not a coal stove is it? An electric one would take a bit of experience after using your coal stove for all those years! I'm sure the family of the farmer appreciated this tribute!
@casablanca Yes that did cross my mind but then can you guarantee any bank near you will still be there next year plus I have done it all now so hopefully will be easier next time! 🤞🏻

As to the bank........that doesn't sound a good experience at all! Maybe it's time to change banks!
