Our nephews sheep pasturing unaware that they are all going through the dipping trough tomorrow.
Could be over a thousand Harry thought but it will be a long day for man & beast!
Three good things:
1. Our builder came this evening & used the still saw to cut a wall down ready for the gardening firm to come in with their mini diggers.
2. I’m enjoying the quieter roads again in my walk. You can definitely tell people are not traveling as much during this second lockdown.
3. Professional Masterchef.....I love it!
Dipping sheep is a process where all the sheep are run through a deep long trough of special solution to control sheep scab & any other parasites that could be around such as lice & fleas.
It’s not something they like but only takes a minute to go through...the farmer pushes their heads in to make sure they have a good dunk!
At one time it was a the cause of controversy as the stuff they used turned out to be dangerous for farmers & some got permanent long term damage from the liquid. I am presuming g it is a completely different solution they use now which will be tested & passed as safe.
I would have liked to have taken a photo but I had things to do plus it’s a busy day & I didn’t want to get in the way!
