Just a diary shot so no need to comment.
We have had the root grinder & rotovater getting to the bottom of these bramble & tree roots.
Unfortunately it rained overnight so the soil was a bit wet. I’m sure when the sun comes out we can rake the round beds level & reseed.
Three good things:
1. A good walk up Beacon Fell with Connie....lots of steps today.
2. I received a parking ticket today through the post...£100 fine from my visit to the Bupa hospital last Monday. I rang them up & they are going to email the company as I was given a ticket to scan...I must not have done it properly!
3. The birds are all over the newly turned soil....poor worms...sitting targets!
If worms are revealed time
for your robin shot Pat. Plonk a spade on the edge of the newly dug area and bingo he will sit on the handle!
Looks very neat and tidy I must say!
A lovely plot of land - I can see you and Harry playing croquet in the summer !! That reminds me I bought a croquet set when I retired - thinking it would be a grand way to wile the time away on a summer's afternoon ! but alas -- they are still in their box 30 years later !!! Hope you will get all the bramble roots out of the soil - they are a devil at re-rooting ! !
It really is a large garden - will suit Harry and his mowing tractor! So necessary to get the stumps and roots out and will be a good time to sow grass!
Harry's making sure it's done to order. I can't wait to see all your touches on this beautiful garden space. I'm ready to get out and get my hands dirty with gardening. It's been a long winter.
@beryl well yes croquet sounds good Beryl......might well be a great summer game to play when we have a get together! Perhaps something that might be played once & then back in the box? 🤣
@maggiemae We shant be going mad with design at our time of life maggie....some new plants & trees but mainly grass in the middle...I don’t want to start lots of gardening.....I just like to sit in them with a book!!
You can’t see all the garden here, at the bottom it goes down another twenty foot or so out of sight. That will be a small wood.
@peggysirk It sure has Peggy...we are beginning to see signs of Spring here if you look carefully...the azalea under that big tree is full of buds & both Camelias coming into flower.
