Wild water swimming seems to be in thing to do these days!
Love the way they have marker buoys attached to the back of themselves!
Well we have internet this afternoon so making use of it. It’s slow & sometimes the pictures take ages to load up but I will do my best tonight to do some commenting!
Good things!
The bungalow is all cleared ready for the builders to start in the morning!
We are warm & comfortable in our holiday cottage.
Brrrr ! looking at it just makes me shiver !!! Nice having the work started on your home ,meanwhile enjoy your "holiday time " in the rented cottage and in the meantime just bear with the irregular internet !!
@maggiemae Yes lots doing this over here...they must be mad but I rather think I might have fancied it if I was young! There was a girl swimming in ice tonight on Countryfile!
@carolmw I’m a late learner swimmer, I learnt about ten years ago but have not practiced enough so can only swim a width now. Most I did was 50 metres!
I would have to be physically forced into that water. I am not fond of cold water swimming. Maybe with a neoprene wetsuit...
So excited for you that the construction is about to begin. Can't wait to see the finished project!
Bet they have good wet suits.. They are a hardy bunch.. We have a youn man living near that has Autism and his 'thing' is long distance swimming he has done the Cook Straight a couple of times.
This just defeats me. I cannot understand how this would be enjoyable. Last night I saw an ice swimmer! Is it really good for you? I am sceptical!
Lovely capture, and I do like the pops of red.
Now I do actually love wild water swimming - but not in this weather - I'm definitely a fair-weather (if not hot-weather) swimmer. Give me a bit of heat and I'll dive into any old lake, pond or sea ...
