The workers are hard at it today again.
Walls up to the ceiling & the foundations for the extension have been passed by the building regs guy.
The cement is arriving at 8am tomorrow.
Three good things:
1. I had my hair cut...my head feels so much lighter!
2. The heating was off this morning. We worked out that it was low pressure... the landlord came & fixed it!
3. No pressure to get up this morning after a bad nights sleep.
Glad you could sleep in a bit. I think the world and his wife had their hair cut today. We have been to buy a new all-singing all-dancing adjustable bed and en route there and also back, we saw queues of people waiting outside barber's and hairdresser's premises. I've grown mine and decided to keep it long!
Good to see things moving on and passed by the the building reg bloke ! Amazing how light headed one feels after a haircut - envious - got to wait till Wednesday !!
@quietpurplehaze Well I have a slight advantage in that the hair salon owner is our niece! I had an appointment book in mid January though. I was tempted to keep mine a bit longer but did that last time & had to beg them to take me in & cut more if after a week.
Good to have some good progress.. Nice to see some timber on site. A real shortage of timber here in NZ at mo seems crazy with all the forestry we have in this country..
@julzmaioro I wonder why that is....plenty if firewood I hope though? We have some shortages here if building stuff mostly....our windows & stuff are all ordered so hopefully won’t be held up too much!
@quietpurplehaze I have to ask you, Hazel - where do you buy such beds? Maybe the bed is so nice - you can't help singing and dancing!
