We drove through Garstang this morning, we needed some trainer laces for Harry’s shoes.
We were pleased to see the resumption of the weekly Thursday market day. Not nearly as many people about though....I think folk are still nervous!
Three good things:
1. We have chosen & put a deposit on our floor tiles.
2. A visit to the container to collect my chair ready for re upholstering.
3. The upholstery shop was shut when we got there but by then we were starving so popped into the chippy for a bag of chips....halfway through eating them & the guy came back!
It's good to see a slow return to the way things were. You are making great headway with your decorating, Pat. Tile and upholstery checked off your list.
Better to be nervous than sorry! The UK is doing well - people have taken notice. What do English people do when it rains? No verandahs outside the shops!
So good to see things coming back to normal , With the better weather -people will start venturing out - Good to have your chair recovered now in time before going back into the bungalow -- Exciting times now Pat , chosing tiles and gradually seeing all your plans materialise !
