Astrantia by happypat

Astrantia

I never know what’s going to pop up in our new garden.
In the long back garden the brambles are coming up again sadly, no surprise as they are the devil to get rid of....think we will be fighting them every year but hopefully will eventually give up.
Our nephew is coming over next weekend with his quad bike & sprayer.
These pretty Astrantia have popped up behind the security gates, I love them & they are just beside the place we are going to dig our postbox in this week. I must watch the guys that they don’t damage them.
Three good things:
1. The Sunday papers in the sun.
2. We are exited about tomorrow & the windows going in.
3. A friend stopped as she was walking past with the dog...a cup of tea & a chat.
They're lovely. Maybe you could lift and replant? I think that brambles would survive a nuclear war.

A lovely little surprise Pat , I moved mine to another position in the garden this year , so it has not come into flower yet - but looks more healthy , as it was struggling near bigger plants .

Mine have surprised me by not coming up this year 🤨. We are still fighting brambles after 24 years but they are at least manageable- if we took our eye off the ball though...! Mind you if a few escape we get blackberries! Windows sound very exciting!

@carolmw @Dawn @boxplayer @joansmor I don’t usually post flowers as I don’t have any flowers much in the garden but hopefully as we get the garden more as we like it I can take more pictures though I do prefer a people shot myself!

They are so pretty, hope you can replant them.

Nice to know there are some flowers that will do well. You could also put these in a pot by the postbox!

These are delightful, Pat! I'd keep an eye on the postbox diggers too.

They look so delicate and lovely

They are very pretty and would be a waste to dig them. Better to move the postbox if necessary.

You have got these flowers caged, are they dangerous.
