I’m sort of having a few cooking lessons while we are at Cathy’s house.
She makes different things than me & a bit more adventurous recipes which I’m looking forward to developing into few more different dishes.
I have grown to like a much more varied diet over the last few years, my particular favourite is linguine with prawns & chillies but I’ve only ever eaten it out. Harry is of the old school, a meat & two veg person, or better still fish, fish, fish but he is learning to like tastier things as long as you don’t tell him what’s in it!!
He had this fish pie tonight but ate it all up even though he doesn’t like prawns! He had no idea there were any in!
Three good things:
1. Convenient ignorance!
2. Base gone down for Harry’s tractor shed.
3. England won through to the next round in the Euro 2000 football.
That does look good.. oh we have another parallel with our men FG hates prawns as well .. he also hates capsicum but if I get orange ones and cut them like carrot battens he knows no difference.. It's aĺl in the mind.

This looks and sounds delicious Pat. I love fish pie but find it quite fiddly to make. It's something we've come to enjoy in recent years. You hit the nail on the head with your comments about coming home. It certainly does take it out of you. I still have a long way to go in terms of recovery.
Loving that potato topping. Allergic to shellfish annoyingly and have recently become allergic to fish full stop, which is twenty times more annoying! So I shall scoop some of that potato and enjoy it with a bit of cheese instead! Nice to try cooking new things. I think we all get into a rut in the kitchen at some point.
Looks very delicious. I'm wondering if I can camouflage some ingredients in this way when Jonathan and Sarah are with us for a few days. I have a list 😂😂
