We didn’t know the colour of this rhododendron when we planted these Pinks & Alliums……the colours clash a bit but I quite like that strangely.
I have been weeding this afternoon. It takes me a while to decide I have to do it but once I get going I like it.
Three good things:
1. The fencer chap has been this afternoon…another day & he will be finished.
2. I bought a pair of shoes at half price in Edinburgh…purchased with Harrys full price ones. Decided they were too tight so they have gone back today for a refund. Quite a palaver when bought in a shop without a customer number but hopefully will go through ok.
3. The library van has been….six books chosen, I am determined d to read some of them & keep off my kindle! Buying books mounts up in cost!
A beautiful clash of colours - at one time I liked everything coordinating , but now I love a riot of colours all together -- I have one corner with a bush of shocking pink flowers ( forgotten its name ! ) blue/purple aquilegias , orange marigolds , and big bright orange poppies ! - I just love it ! -- its my take on "when I grow old ,I will wear purple and a bright red hat " !!
Beautiful and no clash! My art teacher used to say ' if you are not sure about how well colours go together just have a look at nature' ....and she was right!!!
No Marigolds in my garden, I don’t like them! 🤣🤣🤣
