I took this very quickly yesterday morning as I walked through the village. It was into the sun so not very clear but nothing else today.
The open top car is proving very popular in this hot weather.
Our neighbours next door & opposite both have one.
Three good things!
1. Visitors this afternoon of some past B&B guests although they have stayed here too earlier in the year. They have all the family with them this time so no room here.
2. A lot of reading being done just now, I feel very lazy!
3. News of a florist shop/ gift shop/ beauty shop & dog training all coming to Great Eccleston. An old restaurant is being converted.
Just opened up 365 and there is Pat photo and read the heading as oven top.. lol.. too early..
Must be a real craze lots here as well even have the top down on a fine Winters day .
The new set of shops sound exciting. Enjoy that relaxing with a book in the sun 🌞 it will all change far too soon..
No convertibles down here - the weather is not welcoming at any time of the year but I expect the sales of them is increasing in Britain with the current run of hot weather!
I have to admit I don't get open top cars. They are usually ridden here by old men who want to be 21 again, ha ha. When the weather is 38 degrees c I don't get why anyone wants to sit in an open top car with the heat belting down. I prefer to sit in my Subaru Forester with the air con going full belt.
@maggiemae@onewing I’m of the same mind really, I would love to have a go in one but the word posers comes to mind when one drives by. Quite a few women & older couples have them here but who else but older people could afford one? The one opposite is a vintage Datsun & newer modern car next door. I do rather envy them when the go off with the roof down…..a flick of the switch & the roof comes up.
This vintage car looked lovely & I wouldn’t say no to one of those if I could get in & out if it that is!
