We have Connie for three days as family at a wedding near Carlisle.
Today walk along the River Wyre at low tide.
In the distance are the fells of the Forest of Bowland.
A glorious day in this continuing dry sunny weather but I did notice today how dry & old the fields are looking.
We are getting desperate for rain.
Such a lovely walk for you and Connie , and I love all those hawthorn in flower in the distance . There seems to be a lot of blossom on all trees this year , but we do need some rain - the garden is crying for rain !
I love your shot, Pat! Here we have Clare's pink hawthorn dense with blossom in the garden and from here to Winchester along the road the wild white hawthorn is in full bloom too!
