This is the interior of St. Wilfred's Church, I showed you the exterior yesterday. You can come out of the door , walk 20 yards & you are in the middle of the main City of Preston high street & among all the shops.
In my most humble opinion, this is exactly how a church should look. This architecture is so beautiful and must make one feel the serenity and quietness of God's world. Gorgeous, Pat. :)
It's lovely to see it looking in such beautiful condition especially after what happened to poor St Augustine's. Brings back memories - largely of a sixth form boy with a fantastic tenor voice - not much to look at but that voice was more than enough compensation - he never gave me a second glance though - must have heard me sing!
