The beginning of August & as usual our local garden centre is putting out the Christmas cards. Just a few on the table here & it was busy!
I had to laugh as I was busy photographing the fools looking at cards & into my veiw finder came a friend......we laughed so much....... she told me to delete her!
Ooh Pat what a sobering thought !! I do wish Christmas was not so commercialised --and the traders let us approach Christmas at a more seasonal time , A good capture of " people watching" ! Pat -- if we all could passed by and not be tempted to look and buy until nearer the time !
I for one shall not need to look at Christmas cards as last year we sent an email round saying we are not sending them any more and made a donation to the Phillipines Disaster Fund instead. Great candid shot - without your friend!!!
nice photo Pat yes I can quite believe this I think its quite sad as back in the late 60s you had proper seasons for eg. you had Spring , Summer , Autumn Winter and the shops use to display items appropriate for the seasons Now Retailers spoil It they advertise too early whilst i was off sick last Thursday and Friday I thought i would watch TV , what a waste of time flicking through the channels came across the bid tv programme and they were selling Christmas items I wish I had sent an email to the producer to say we Are In Summer Months not Winter.
