It just came to mind regarding Lily,:
"There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house.[1]
....and it meant...The "crooked stile" in the poem was the border between England and Scotland. "They all lived together in a little crooked house" refers to the fact that the English and Scots had at last come to an agreement, despite continuing great animosity between the two peoples, who nonetheless had to live with each other due to their common border
Very apt at this moment! Not that I meant Harry was crooked or your house was, It was just Lily!
@maggiemae well said & thought out maggiemae......I never knew the origins of that nursery rhyme & of course it applies perfectly to Lily! Poor little bent thing she is! I don't think we have any crooked mice in this house hopefully!
Await with bated breath for the result of today's vote.......a complete upheaval which ever way it goes......no one is going to be happy!
Btw if you go upstairs our floors are very crooked & slope!
I wondered if the box would overheat??!!!
