Ironwork

I am slowly catching up so I apologise for inundating you with NY shots!
You are very patient & doing so well with the commenting!
St Patricks Cathedral full of scaffolding....I think it's rather effective!
When you said there was scaffolding on the inside I didn't quite envisage this amount of scaffolding !! but somehow as a photo it does not distract but seems to lead to the alter !

I agree with Beryl, you are sort of 'channeled' to the altar and the lights either side help with that.
On another subject altogether, you suggested meeting up in the summer, and very rudely of me I don't think I replied, sorry! I would love to meet up maybe combine it with @pinkpaintpot and meet in a town/city somewhere I can get to on the train, what do you think?

@beryl I thought that zberyl....I like the effect. My friend went to NY last year & it was full of scaffolding then too. I have no idea when the do any work as there are services going on most of the day....night shift perhaps! Thank you Beryl.

@countrylassie Yes would love that Lesley...we will make a date preferably later in the year after mid July. Harry is having his knee operated on 18th April & two sons & families coming from end of April to mid July. Will arrange something then if that's ok.

Pretty major scaffolding! Long term and no doubt costly work in progress, but good to preserve special places.

Wow, what a lot of scaffolding. It makes such an interesting shot though. I am loving your holiday photos, you certainly saw lots of things in your time away.

Wow. When you said scaffolding, you meant scaffolding! Looks like they're doing a huge restoration project. Amazing shot.
