We are actually liking it now we are retired but even for us slightly too hot today as it’s muggy too.
Rain hadn’t made the slightest difference ...still boiling!

@busylady@joansmor@maggiemae Yes outside & not in the sun. Inside the house is very cool so we are lucky...glad of very thick walls! Yuk no cold showers for me....would never be too hot for that!
You just aren't equipped for temperatures like this in the UK are you. Got an email of my sister this morning and she is almost passing out too.
She had a hospital appointment yesterday and decided to travel by train. The first train was 10 minutes late and the second didn't even turn up. The rails are too hot for the trains to run apparently.
@onewing Motto here is definitely no travel, in fact they have advised people not to. It’s been terrible on the trains, melting tracks etc...definitely weather for people who are retired! Your poor sister, last thing you need when going to the hospital!
