The Narrows in Zion NP

The Narrows is a slot canyon where the Virgin River runs through. You can hike the river in the canyon. When we were hiking it, the water is anywhere from ankle deep to waist deep. It is over your head in places but usually you can find a spot not more than waist deep. The canyon is 8 miles one way but then you have to back track out. We hiked about 4 miles into it with a mile hike down a side canyon. It took us most of the day. Good closed toed shoes and a hiking pole really help. Thanks for viewing!
Excellent shot, great sense of scale

I'm not sure if this is the same river I hiked in at Zion. I had to turn back when I hit chest high water, I was holding my camera gear over my head at the time.
I like the sense of "what's around the bend there?" in this image.

@bill_fe I bet it is the same river. Earlier in the season may have more water and someone was telling us that a bit farther ahead than we went the water got deeper for awhile. Wasn't it a great hike?

Fantastic capture. The people in the image serves to show the height of those walls.
