I have a few in my garden. At one time I had so many bulbs that I filled several buckets, took them to a public garden and made those responsible assure me they would plant them somewhere. For many years I have seen them there blooming. I haven't looked for them for some time now.
Sorry to correct you . This beautiful (bulb) plant is a Zantedeschia aethiopica . Nothing to do with orchids. Have one in a pot in the garden . The orgin is South Afrika. They are aviable in many colours now beside withe .
@pyrrhula. Thanks for the correction! Looked it up on the internet and looked similar. All I knew for sure was that it was not native to California which is where I saw it! Does it have a common name? Thanks again! :)
@harbie In Holland we call it : Aronskelk .
Funny thing/story. In the old day`s this flower was mainly, and only, used in funeral arrangements. Time have chance it as they are very populair now.
