Wild Turkeys

Usually you can see small groups of wild turkeys on the US Air Force Academy (along with a lot of other wildlife). At this time of year (breeding time), you find large groups of them. In this group there were about 50 scattered close by. The Air Force Academy Chapel is the pointed building in the background. Best on black. Thanks so much for viewing!
Nice shot of the wild turkey - concerned about the lack of snowfall I'm not seeing - will that be a problem for spring and summer or is that common in this area?

@milaniet Thanks, Milanie! We have hardly had any snow. Most of the winter so far has been in the 40's-60's. It will definitely be a problem if we don't get some snow. Our biggest snowfall time is in the spring so hopefully we will make up for it then. The mountains have gotten a little more than we have but still not enough.

Good capture. Challenge with turkeys is they vanish very quickly.

Wow! I rarely see wild turkeys, let alone this many in one area. Awesome capture, Harbie! :-)
