It was a nice surprise. When we were in Telluride for the Blue Grass Festival, they had us park up in Mountain Village, the ski resort. We thought we would take a bus down to town, but we took 2 gondolas and arrived right in town. Much better than taking a bus! This is a view of Telluride. It is nestled in a box canyon so is not easy to get in and out of. There is some haze from the smoke of all the forest fires we have been having. Very dry winter and spring! Best on black. Thanks so much for viewing!!
Very nice to see such a view of the place I've heard about for years but never visited. This reminds me of how we got from our hotel in Niagara Falls down to the falls.
@byrdlip Thank you. The end of the canyon is to the right which is east, southeast. To the left is west, northwest which is where the opening of the canyon is. When we looked at the map (to make sure we got it right), my husband was laughing at my sense if direction or as he would say....my lack of sense of direction. :p!
What an exciting way to travel to the festival! What a view you had coming down! Captured it nicely. Do hope they're able to get control of the fires soon - worrisome the way they're spreading.
