Sinking by harbie

Sinking

Just a fun photo! Annie fell on her snowshoes and realized the snow was up to her waist! She had a hard time getting back on top of the snow. Sometimes you don't realize how deep the snow is because you still sink a bit on the snowshoes, but if you fall or check the depth with your poles, it is surprising! We start at Hoosier Pass which is around 11,500 ft and climb up so there is usually a pretty good amount of snow there! Thank you for viewing!!
Boo

I remember my 'guide' having to tamp down a little ramp for me to get back onto the surface!

Never think about what might be under the snow when skiing. Tennessee Pass and the pass between Cody, WY and Sheridan/Ranchester got me.
