I went for my first after work bike ride of the season today and had a great time and a great ride. This big full tree against the blue sky caught my eye as I wizzed past, so I stopped to take this shot (with the point and shoot). I wish I had my real camera, it's so sad how little fits in the screen when i'm not using my SLR at 17mm! I would have liked to capture a bit more of the field surrounding the tree, but I was already standing in the middle of the road to fit the tree in, and a car was coming..... so this is what we get for today. If you look in the right background on the hill between the two trees there is a metal tower. This is the border of Germany-Netherland-Belgium, and I will be biking around some more but eventually will bike right by this tower as I head into Aachen.
