I picked up this chestnut on my way home, as I walk under a huge row of chestnut trees on my way to/from work. I really like how almost prehistoric they look..... I made my wife help out by holding it the way I wanted when I took the shot
Thanks for your comments on my pic - yes, I think that technically it won't be better, but with more experience I'll be able to foresee the type of pic I'll get, choose better angles and scout places that will offer a good night shot.
That book is great. Whenever people ask me I always suggest that book. It's simply brilliant, and details a designers' or an artists' eye on how to take a good photo instead of just how to technically take competent photos.
