I snapped this today on the way to work, I was trying to capture some of the scars in the stones from when the fishmongers used to sharpen their knives, as well as capture the old partial gothic archway as I found all the textures interesting. After this shot I opened up the aperature so I could get most of the stones in focus. Then tonight when I got home there were some issues with my one month old memory card and some pictures I took last night and 90% of my shots from this morning were corrupted. Bummer! I salvaged this shot and re-formatted the card, so I hope thats the last time I experiance that.
This is a wonderful composition of textures and muted shades. What a shame to get betrayed by your memory card. I never would have thought of that. I hope your problems have been resolved.
I am sorry you lost many pictures. My daughter had a corrupted memory card too and she got a new one instead because it was only a few months old. Her camera or my camera refused to recognize the card. It could not be re-formatted. She got a new card but of course she lost a lot of pictures.
