We spent some time in the city center of Krakow with Anne's relative Agata and her older son Chris, who also helped translating. We stepped into St. Mary's where we went to midnight mass on the 24th, and it is just a wonderful and colorful cathedral, this picture doesn't even do the colors justice. Sadly it was really dark and the colors didn't pop as much as I remember from our visit in June. This is the top of a wooden pulpet as well as some of the main nave and the side aisles. I really like the blue ceilings with the painted golden stars.
Yes, I found it a breathtaking place and no photograph can capture the magnificence. This one comes very close though! What a wonderful place to be for the first mass of Christmas.
