On Monday of trip in Belgium we rented bikes and biked about 30 miles round trip to the Trappist Westvleteren Monistary to get some of the best beer in the world. This was like a 'life list' kinda thing for me, and it did not dissapoint.
Sadly I pulled a real no brainer before we went on our trip and did not recharge my spare battery, thus we were in the middle of Flanders farm country and my battery died, and my spare was also empty! My wife had also forgotten our point and shoot, but luckily my friend tommy came though and we were able to document our adventure. Although I was dragging a lot of heavy camera equipment and tripod in addition to lots of beer around, which made for some more difficult biking. This was a castle like house we biked by on the way home, when we were all feeling pretty great.
