Tesla Girls II by harveyzone

Tesla Girls II

Another slow day in which it rained all day (again), we went to B&Q, and then I painted a small ceiling white. The camera didn't come out much so, as promised on 31st January, here is my 1953/54 Tesla Talisman 308U which sits on a shelf in our hallway with its older sibling, the 307U.

I had already got the 307U and rather liked the design of the 308U when I happened to find one in a tiny little shop down a back street in Český Krumlov, Czech Republic. It was so cheap, I just couldn't leave it there. Very nice looking little radios.
Great shot Harvey, love the pov and tones!!!

Didn't know you were a radio geek. Does this work? in which case do you get Czech radio stations? Anyway i like the photograph - comp and focus. I even remember radios like this from my yoof.

@mariadarby I'm not, particularly. I like bakelite objects, I like things associated with music, and I like 20th century antiques/memoribilia so these just tick all the boxes and are easier to store than jukeboxes. They both work, or at least, did last time I tried them. I have managed to get French radio on them, but not Czech. Not that I would recognise it anyway!
