Zenit EM by harveyzone

Zenit EM

A classic Russian 35mm Zenit EM, from the late 70s, boasting 5 shutter speeds, from 1/30 to 1/500 and bulb. Completely manual. No batteries required. One of the many old film cameras I still have cluttering the place up.

It still works fine - Ben put a film through it a few weeks ago as he had never used a film camera. He had fun, but found it 'complicated'! It really took me back. I would rather like to get my hands on another Nikon FM2, which I spent 6 years shooting daily in my first job in the late 80s, but they still sell for too much money just for a bit on nostalgia. I would also quite like to find a Petri 7s (I think) that was my first ever camera (shared with Jo), but I have no idea where it went.
I used to have a Zenit E - don't know what the EM was - often think it was a shame to have got rid of it.

@mariadarby I think the EM was just a later incarnation of the E.
It is surprisingly heavy - heavier than my A77 which is much bigger. And it also uses M42 lenses, so I can still use them on my current cameras :-)
