Doodle a day #174: A sad, poignant day, as we woke to the news that Jan's Dad, John, had died in the night.

It was not a shock, he had been very ill, and when we visited him yesterday he was very weak and had barely opened his eyes the whole time.

So we just pottered in the garden in a somewhat distracted frame of mind.

Here is a poppy that has just started to flower in our wild flower area.
