I have been interested in photography all my life and remember quite well developing my first black and white films myself... My favorite subjects are...
I do like the composition ... but not the 'antique' finish. Sometimes that processing works and enhances the subject... but here it hides the trees and I'd like to see more of them
@yrhenwr Thank you for your very interesting comment. This kind of a picture is one of those, which are quite problematic during the processing. I had actually made two versions of it. The first one - the 'antique' one - with much left to the imagination and the second one, the 'stronger' , in which one feels as if he was totally encircled by the forest and the only way out would be the small path. As I was sending the picture in the morning I preferred the lighter version. Best wishes
@haskar A really interesting reply. The images we show tells others a lot about ourselves! I sensed that a darker version would feel claustrophobic and the little path might provide hope ... a version which matches some aspect of my personality. Perhaps you have a morning side and one for later in the day? Or you go with what you think others might like... and I only want to please myself? Thanks for making me think about this.
