@randystreat @lynne5477 This flower is Alcea commonly known as the hollyhocks. It grows on dry lands by walls and fences. It can be up to 3 m high. In Poland it is very popular.

@haskar Thank you for the information. I should have known that. I've tried to grow them on several occasions. I guess the reason that I didn't recognize them is that they never did well for me. Perhaps I can try them in the garden at this house.
