A typical manor house in Poland. After the communists entered Poland, the owners of the manor houses were thrown out of them and the areas were nationalized. Most of these mansions turned into ruins. However, some of them survived thanks to the efforts of enthusiasts.
I have been interested in photography all my life and remember quite well developing my first black and white films myself... My favorite subjects are...
Great framing with the tree trunk and the branch with yellow leaves. And the leading line of the drive takes us right up to the front door: welcome :) Lovely house and shot, Haskar! Fav
I don't know why, and it sounds silly to say it, but I wouldn't think of this kind of architecture in Poland- it looks more like something you'd see in our northern states. How pretty- and how nice that it managed to be preserved.
@bkbinthecity Most of the surviving mansions are still owned by the state. The people who took care of the renovation of these houses did it out of love for history and the need of the heart.
