Lost Daffodil

Fairly simple idea: picture of a daffodil, taken on the abandoned level of a multi-storey car park. I was torn tonight between this photo and this one: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.573762970347.74595.309600136&type=3&l=3cc3fe5014
Did I make the right decision?
Yes David, nice shot

I really like that one but sorry I prefer the other, I love the blurry flashy colors of the circus in the background

@cocobella I couldn't decide at all, the only reason I didn't go for the other one was the lamp post in the middle of the shot.

Like the repeated yellow!

Yes I love the circus colours too but I think this has more impact for the daffodil.

@tamsg4 @lagerdalek @filsie65 Thank you very much. I like this one because I think that when things are taken out of their usual context they become more striking themselves and we notice details we perhaps wouldn't normally.

It's hard to choose one sometimes isn't it?! From a composition point of view they are both great. I usually save other ones like this for when I have 'lay' days and need to catch up...like I have at the moment.

I like this more.
:) it has the perfect tones and you choose the perfect title

I like this one. The starker background works better IMHO.

I"m not a Facebook user, so I can't compare, but I like this shot. Interesting contrasts.

Great shot David - not only the flower being in an unusual spot but the fact that the yellow is mirrored in the yellow pillars.

I prefer this one David. Love the loneliness of it and the yellow of the daffodil with the yellow paint in the car park. Really nice capture.

This is cool! I like the idea of a daffodil being "lost" in such an environment. The contrast is startling and evocative. Nice work!

Lovely composition...like the way the yellows are repeated throughout the image too :D

How odd, I am sure I commented on this yesterday but can't spot it! very clever shot, I love shots that are slightly absurd.
