Worcester Cathedral illuminated and reflected in the River Severn.
Originally it was going to be a different picture tonight: I had gone to the top of the crowngate multi-storey car park to get some shots of the various spires of the city. I'd been up there about 20 minutes in what was a completely empty car park and had finally found the composition I was happy with but just needed to alter my settings judging from my test shot. Then someone wih a torch comes up to the top level eagerly searching about for someone/thing (me I imagined)
I could see their torch beam feverishly sweeping across the carpark but I was behind a small brick section and so, as I wasn't sure if I was allowed to be there or not and I certainly didn't want to explain myself to a carpark security guard, I scarpered. It got the adrenaline going, I even changed staircases on one of the levels just to ensure that my pursuer was baffled and then I managed to escape and had to think of another photo and so ta-dah today's effort.
Fabulous recovery shot! It's a gorgeous cathedral-- love the reflections and the lighting! Glad you didn't run into any difficulty-- I would have bailed out of there too.
Gosh how exciting... hot pursuit in a multi-storey!! Next time you should take your car and pretend you'd dropped your phone earlier...! Love this shot though, fine compensation it's a beautiful sight, and very clear
