My oldest and my youngest decided today to set off for the Yukon. So they packed their bags with all the essentials, stuffed snake, ukulele, Russian Army Hat.... Unfortunately my middle son was left out of the loop and became absolutely apoplectic when he thought they were actually going somewhere. He followed them down the driveway screaming and crying and at one point literally tried to stop my oldest by hanging on to his backpack and sitting down. It was hysterical and heartbreaking all at the same time. It wasn't until the two intrepid explorers got toward the end of the driveway that it finally occurred to Michael that they might not really be going anywhere. They stood there for the longest time, looking at each other, scuffing their feet, watching to see what I was going to say... Finally my oldest told me they were waiting for a cab. I think the Yukon will have to wait for another day. We don't get a lot of cabs around here...
Yeah, I tried to tell them that bare feet might not be the best idea for the journey - especially to the Yukon, but Finn told me not to worry. He had a pair of shoes in his bag...
Great shot :)
@Louise, Boys Life? Wow, that brings back some memories.
