Took a trip to the coast this Sunday to try to escape the heat. It didn't work! The coast is ridiculously hot too... We were walking along the sea wall in Gloucester and the boys could not resist chasing the multitudes of birds that were trying to rest in the grass. Due to some law of nature known only to them, the seagulls were off limits but the pigeons were fair game. My youngest had put his hat on by himself and I was trying to get a shot of him looking oh so bright and he barreled after these poor birds. (Think Lennie from "Of Mice and Men!"...) I was laughing too hard so most of these shots were just random and unplanned. When I looked at them later, I was impressed I captured this pigeon mid-flight - the poor thing! Hope he's having a quieter day today now that we are gone...
