Today was Cash's first official day of Preschool. The drop off went smoothly and I could not be more proud of the way he handled himself. He was all smiles and I even got a little wave as he happily took his new teacher's hand. The same could not be said for most of the rest of the kids, I'm afraid. Lots of clinging and crying and general unhappiness. I witnessed one of the most impressive examples of three year old passive resistance I have ever seen! The poor kid was like a human rag doll... Well I assume it will get smoother. It just about breaks your heart to watch. I don't know if the letting go is harder for the kids - or us parents!
What an endearing "First First Day" picture! Good for him for bucking up and making you proud! Those kindergarden teachers must really be something to make the kids feel welcome after those last good-byes!
