You know you are in a funk when you are looking in your kitchen cabinets for a picture idea. I went to get a cup for my coffee this morning and saw my favorite Yankee Swap gift from a few family Christmases ago. Some finely crafted (not) and beautifully drawn (uh, no again) mugs with our country's finest (oh most definitely no again!! - well in some cases) political leaders. Blue for the Dems and red for the GOP. I have been waiting for the opportunity to use them - and by that I mean giving my friends the wrong ones just to see what they say - but darnit, no one comes over for coffee these days... ;-) I think the funniest thing is that I got these back in 2002 or 03. Well before our current president was on the national stage so I am impressed he made the cut. Obviously our fine master mug craftsman was a bit of a prophet as well!
