I spent the day stacking wood and enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. (Ok, I didn't really enjoy it - much too sweaty weather to be dealing with firewood!) But the weather is changing. We are supposed to get torrential rains tomorrow - which will probably be the end of most of these gorgeous leaves. I will be so sad to see them go. They have been just fantastic this year. (and a bit of a godsend to my uninspired project...) With them gone it will just be boring old raking season! And nobody looks forward to that....
Oh Holly...doom and gloom! We, too, have had an unseasonably warm day...quite fun! Sadly, I only grabbed the end of a magnificent sunset from my front steps...pretty but not THE BEST location! Let's gather our autumn while it lasts and then think about the beauty of (at least) the first snow! As a Californian with nothing to compare to this, I'm so grateful for the beauty of what seems like an extended vacation! (I'll look for your snow scenes while I sit out by the pool...)
@Weezilou Oh Louise, I had that thought - if the leaves go away I'll have to be creative again until the snow falls.... Not that I hope that is anytime soon! :)
