On The Other Side Of The Doors

I am ending my week at St. Paul's with one last picture - that I also did not take. It is another one from my parent's wedding back in 1964. This is my maternal grandmother Rita - my Nana - and my Mother's brother Marty, who is escorting her down the aisle. If you can make it out, they are standing just on the other side of the same doors from my earlier picture. http://365project.org/hbdaly/365/2016-01-04
Sadly, both my Nana and Uncle are no longer with us. So actually, I like this picture very much because it is almost like it brings them back for me. I know it sounds schmaltzy - and it is - but I like to think of them both this way, smiling and happy - forever standing inside the doors of that beautiful church and looking their finest...

My deepest thanks to St. Paul's this week for taking me on a lovely journey. And thank you for all the wonderful comments too on my pictures. Believe me - the church did all the work for me! :-)
When you look at them, do you think, "How could they ever have been so young?"

It's been a lovely project for you and for us to view. This is a beautiful photo - I love your Nana's outfit and she and your uncle both look so proud.
