Investigating a strange sound is a good idea when it comes to birdwatching. You never know what you'll find behind that rustle of leaves and banging noise on the other side of the yard. Surprised but happy to find it was this beautiful Pileated Woodpecker having a snack.
(And since investigating noises is also a good idea in parenting - especially where three boys are involved - I've decided this still fits my quasi theme of the week - Who is she talking about?...) :-)
