The Tiger Lilies along my driveway grow pretty well - even in this year's dry conditions. I am always amazed at how tall they get as I look them in the eye. Although, as you can see this year, they are being dwarfed - by a weed! This Pokeberry - or Pokeweed has been popping up in that spot for years. I just can't seem to be able to get the root out of the ground. I'm thinking of resorting to TNT next.... ;) Usually it is a sort of normal size but this year it has turned into a monster! Since my gardening technique runs along the lines of "it's green so I like it!" I don't really mind it. Apparently the birds like the berries so that is a nice bonus too. I'll just have to keep the boys away from it since it's supposed to be poisonous to us mammals. Cash is the only one I'd worry would be tempted by the berries. But as you can see, he's still too busy stealing my strawberries to make it that far.... ;-)
