I finally did a little research on my mystery weed with the lovely purple flowers. http://365project.org/hbdaly/365/2016-08-26 Turns out is is called Jimson Weed - or "The Devil's Snare" (I prefer that one, I think.) Apparently every single part of it is toxic to humans. And, as you can see, it is such a delicate little thing... I think this will be as close as I get for any further pictures until the first frost hits - just in case!
