It is surreal at the kite festival

it really is - kites in every format all competing and struggling to get above ground. there is every size and shape you can imagine . I have been busy performing in a concert this evening - with the community arts choir I belong to, so just managed to grab a couple of shots on my way through to rehearsal. We live adjacent to the Embankment and the park. This means, there are several weekends in any year when you move your car at your peril. This is one such weekend.

I have given these three kites the surreal treatment in photoshop.

I am sooooooo behind and haven't stopped to look at your recent photos for two days now. Hopefully tomorrow.......please bear with me.
Great shot! My husband used to fly kites, with one of those lethal 3 wheel buggies with no brakes! It's so dangerous! I've banned him since his kidney transplant in case he has an accident! But those kite festivals are a great day out!.......unless there's no wind........and then they're a rubbish day out!😂

Wonderful shot and colors and shapes! I love kites so much but am not one to enjoy holding one. I prefer looking at them when other people deal with the string etc.! :)

I like this; it has a lovely airy feel & just enough colour.

@janemartin you are right Jane. There was no wind on Sunday and few kites flying, but enough for fun on Saturday.
