"A circle in a spiral,
a wheel within a wheel,
Never ending or beginning,
on an ever-spinning reel,
As the images unwind,
like the circles that you find,
In the windmills of your mind."
lyrics by Marilyn and AIan Bergman
Turbulent Jitter refers to the name for this liquify function in Photoshop. I have not used it in a very sophisticated way - I was just pleased to work out how to use it to give the effect that I wanted. So this will do for now.
I am now just back from a concert from Jacqui Dankworth and Charlie Wood. They just happen to live around the corner from me and I love to hear the piano playing when I walk past sometimes. Their rendering of the old song "The Windmills of your mind" was stunningly beautiful. So I adapted today's photos to remind me of this song.
You must have had fun in PS. I have played with liquefy at times. Did you lasso each seed head and apply the filter to them separately. It is effective and interesting. Of course, I can't get "windmills of your mind" out of my head - four hours so far and still going strong.
@moonmtn thank you Kashia - I think it is a bit crude myself, but would need to spend a lot more time on it to have it perfect. It relays the general idea though - thanks for your comment.
@ethelperry I use liquify so rarely that I have to look it up to remind myself how to make anything happen. It is always fun to play in Photoshop, the trouble is, I could while away the whole day if not careful.
@rosiekind how strange. You should have come to the concert - it was so very good and the rendering of the song, exquisite. It has been in my head all day.
